Dear visitors and guests,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please let me introduce myself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My name is Ji\u0159\u00ed Rafael Moravec. I was born on May 10, 1976, in Mlad\u00e1 Boleslav. In 1993, I started studying jewellery making and goldsmithing, and I finished my studies in 1997 with my final exam. After that, I started working in the workshop of Mr. Draho\u0148ovsk\u00fd. I am thankful to him not only for teaching me the craft, but also for giving me a deep respect and love for jewellery making, which for me is also a form of art. Another jeweller I respect very much, and who had a big influence on me, was Ji\u0159\u00ed Urban. The third person was Mr. Bohumil Skalick\u00fd, my Art History teacher. His passion for art and culture was amazing and unforgettable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After that, I continued my studies in Prague at Podkov\u00e1\u0159sk\u00e1 School. First, I attended courses about antiques, and later I joined a master's programme with experienced blacksmiths. They were one generation older than us, and their respect for the craft, their skills, and their friendship were a great inspiration for us young students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 1998, I opened my own goldsmith's workshop and shop. After two years, I closed the shop because I realized that I wanted to focus only on my workshop. Since then, I have done only the necessary business work so I can spend most of my time creating. Today, I also teach coppersmithing in schools and organize coppersmith and jewellery workshops for people of all ages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I see jewellery and coppersmith work as something that brings joy, shows a person's character, and expresses their purpose in life. I believe every piece of jewellery should reflect the authenticity, uniqueness, and personality of the person who wears it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In my work, I use gold, silver, and platinum, but also many other materials that become part of each piece of jewellery. These include copper, iron, brass, wood, and even simple stones found during a walk or on the beach. I often combine them with precious stones such as diamonds, rubies, and other traditional gemstones. Besides jewellery, I also create sculptures made from bronze, silver, or gold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
